Cospender Account Deletion Request

You have the right to request deletion of your Cospender account and all associated data at any time. We are committed to providing you with full control over your personal information.

How to Delete Your Account

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to or
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request - Cospender"
  3. Include the email address associated with your Google account used to sign into Cospender
  4. We will confirm receipt of your request within 3 business days
  5. Your account and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request

What Data We Delete

Upon processing your account deletion request, we will permanently remove the following data from our systems:

  • Personal Information: Your email address, full name, and profile photo URL
  • Group Data: All groups you created or participated in through the app
  • Expense Records: All personal and group expenses you entered in the app
  • App Preferences: Any settings or preferences associated with your account

Data Deletion Timeline

Immediate: Your account access will be disabled upon request confirmation

Within 30 days: All personal data will be permanently deleted from our active systems

Backup Systems: Data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days for technical reasons, after which it is permanently purged

Legal Compliance: In rare cases, some data may be retained longer if required by applicable law or legal proceedings

⚠️ Important Warning

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all your expense data, group information, and cannot recover this information. Please ensure you have exported or backed up any important data before requesting deletion.
